Margrit Zimmerman, pianist, and Medina, clarinetist, both winners of prestigious International competitions and awards, began their musical collaboration as faculty at Alliance University in New York City.  The Medina-Zimmermann DUO is on a mission to reinvigorate the concert stage by championing works by women composers.  The DUO is the recipient of the New York Women Composers Seed Money Grant, performing works by living composers throughout the East Coast.
